Purging...

Allright friends and family, I just spent the last 5 hours purging pics from my camera... sorry it took me so long. The new posts continue on past this first "page" - just hit "older posts" until you get to the Jan. 23rd one - that's the last time I blogged (bad me.) Or feel free to stop looking as soon as you get sick of us ; )

Seventh anniversary and the Texas Bluebells

It's a tradition here to take family pictures with the bluebells in the spring - they are the Texas state flower. Thanks to our good friends Jason and Christy we had a great seventh anniversary - Jason took our photos and then Christy watched our kids so Michael and I could have an evening out.

Random April and May pics...

Buddies with ice cream sandwiches.
Livin the good life.

Backyard picnic.
Sofie the prissy cat sitting on the smallest and highest thing she can find.

Cute Colton, propped up on the guest bed watching "shows."

Day at the Zoo (Mid April)

Michael took a day off and we all went to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was a beautiful day!

Julia wore her "just hangin' around" shirt so she could blend with the monkeys.
Patiently observing...
So happy Daddy took the day off!
The fam chillin with some ice cream.
Enjoying every bite.

Just another Saturday with the Laverty's... (early April)

Allright... I am not one to assume much, however, I am willing to bet a decent sum of money that none of your garages contained the following scenes (as ours did about a month ago.)

Super hero children. (and Daddy vacumming out the new car - which was probably only a week old at this point but anyone with kids knows how long a car actually stays clean.)

Michael "butchering" the hog... with a sawz-all.

This is one for prosperity's record...
Colton sportin' last year's swim-suit cover-up (the only clothing of his on the main floor - I was in a hurry to grab something.)

Easter with Nica Grandma and Omar

We had a wonderful Easter with Nica G'ma and Omar. We enjoyed lots of home-made bread and pie. We made our first "sweet potato casserole" and it was a hit - we figured we had to make it as we have lived in the south for over 2 whole years now!
Nica Grandma and Julia making bread.

Kneading, kneading, kneading. Julia loved it.

Omar and Colton playing outside.

Cute kids (spring 2010)

Super Colton! I miss this boy's baby fat!
You got a little somethin' on your nose...
and your chin.

Livin the life. I think 2 and 4 year old's have it made...

I bet I don't look this pretty when I sleep...

Julia and her buddy Char-char. This pic totally cracks me up!

Julia and Colton veggin' (Colton sitting in a basket.)

"Happy Hog Hunt 2010" or "Redneck Vacation"... (late February)

Michael's Dad, Brother Steve, Brother in Law Dave and Nephew Dave all flew in for a little hog-hunting fun in late February. We lovingly refer to this as their redneck vacation...

Meanwhile... back at home.
The girls played. This is a sleepover with Julia, G'ma, and Auntie Netty. This was after an afternoon of manicures and pedicures I believe...

Like father like son - love it!
Grandma jammin with Julia and Colton.
