Julia's first dance recital

Julia with her wonderful dance teacher.

Anxiously awaiting her turn for dress rehearsal.

Ruffles and frills all stuffed in a seat.

Julia in the middle with a couple of her cute classmates.

I felt like I had kidnapped tinkerbell everytime I looked in my rearview mirror.

Excited to dance.

Park+Texas+June = fry like bacon.

We have a park just a few blocks down the street, we go a lot between the months of September and May - then pool season starts because it's just too darn hot to not be in the water if you're outside!!! I gave in last week and strolled down there early before it was too sweltering.

Colton pushing big sister.

Happy to be on the playground.

Julia loves to play "hide and seek." Once we get about 100ft from the park she runs ahead and sits under this picnic table "hiding"... same spot, every time.

I am lovin this boys summer-spiky-hairdo. He loves to be pushed in the "strowi."

Bubbles, popsicles, watermelon... and ketchup?

Yes, that is what it looks like. My dear, sweet girl LOVES ketchup - even with her watermelon.
Blech!!! is all I can say.

Yummy popsicle in nothing but a diaper. Livin the good life.

Summer babies. Those toys on the ground are their "bubble-sheens" (bubble machines) - usually they each try it out about twice before colton successfully dumps the entire bottle of bubbles; somehow he finds that to be more entertaining.

May in Minnesota

Julia and Evelyn - I love that these two are such good buddies.
Julia, Evelyn, Brady, and Colton - so comical to actually try to
get a picture of them all looking in the same direction!

These two boys were so fun to watch cruising around together - they are
pretty much exactly the same size and also try to pull alot of the same funny business on us "dults" (that's what Julia calls parents and/or adults.)

G'ma and Julia - the local sod installation crew.

Julia earning her keep! She wanted to pull the sod all by herself of course. Julia and G'ma had a wonderful time digging in dirt for hours... hopefully G'ma doesn't have random flowers popping up around the yard - Julia does like planting those seeds!

Hotel fun

Sweet, sweet girl. Now take a look from her backside...
This cracked me up!

The world is my playground : )
Julia has always been an awesome traveler and Colton is now coming around. Colton used to be restless in hotels, he would be looking all around at everything instead of falling asleep even though it would be hours past his bedtime. These pics are from our trip out to MN in May.

Beach babes

Kids in swimming suits are so cute! Although it's only the beginning of June, here in Texas we are already well through a large bottle of sunscreen and need to re-stock the popsicle supply. Julia has completed 3 of her 6 swim lessons and loves it. Julia and Colton have loved their time at the pool and even though they wear SFP 70 they have the tan lines to prove it!

Buddies

Julia and her uncle Shawn are buds. Shawn gives Michael and I date nights when he visits; Julia loves this because this means she gets to have a "spending time party" with Uncle Shawn. Michael and I went out overnight for our anniversary and Julia kept Shawn up until about 1:30am watching Disney movies, what do you think she said when they woke up in the morning... Uncle Shawn, YOU fell asleep!!! Now we need to finish our movie!
